Establishing ourselves in Toronto 23 years ago, we opened our second location in the ANNEX community downtown Toronto in 2000. After servicing an increasing clientele, we soon realized that a larger facility was on the near horizon. We're proud to welcome our dedicated existing clients as well as extend the right hand of fellowship to new business prospects! ABOUT US
As a young boy Eric Hercules always had a passion for cars. He would often be found playing with homemade cars with his brothers. It was then no surprise that during his teenage years Eric eagerly volunteered and learned the fundamentals of auto mechanics at his cousin's auto shop. By the time he reached his early twenties, Eric Hercules had landed his first apprenticeship position at Neal & Massy Auto mechanics dealership. It was not long thereafter that Eric landed a permanent contractor position with the company. A year later he was called into a management meeting and was offered a promotion to Preliminary Inspector Technician. He accepted and his responsibilities increased, certifying both refurbished and new vehicles amongst other tasks. Although Hercules' hidden aspiration was to become a professional car racer, he could not deny that there was a force at work opening doors to what was clearly a gifting in auto mechanics.
During a vacation to Canada in 1987, Hercules had a conversation that would ultimately change his life for the better; unbeknownst to him. After seeing the potential that lay ahead, Eric decided to take a chance and migrated to Toronto. The sound formal and informal training he garnered in auto mechanics is the advantage which ultimately separates Hercules from the rest in the auto mechanics industry. Here began the next ten years on new soil comprised of a vision of owing and running his own auto mechanic shop. The foundation of what would ultimately become a reality had been laid. Hercules has since had the pleasure of honing his craft in Toronto with the following companies: Arcon Automotives, Viscelo Service Center, Victors Firestone, York Auto Sales and James McDermott. The time had finally come for Hercules to walk into his opportunity and spread his wings.
After much preparation in August 2000 Eric Hercules cut the ribbon on his very own auto shop located in the Annex community of downtown Toronto. Spending ten years in his own shop, servicing a diverse array of clients and vehicle concerns, Hercules began his climb, creating a signature mark in the auto mechanic industry this side of the border. Gaining notoriety in Toronto amongst vehicle owners, business began to boom. A new space would soon be on demand in order to facilitate the increase of clientele. May 2010 Hercules Automotive & Tire Service opened its new doors, welcoming the familiar faces of its dedicated clients and extending the right hand of fellowship to the new. This is our story, excellence is our legacy.
